Keshava dance festival is organized annually at national level in the city of melting cultures – “Bangalore”. In the memory of Natyacharya Guru Shri H.R.Keshava Murthy, this festival organized by Keshava Nritya Shala, with an aim of preserving and promoting Indian classical dance.
The said festival is indeed a tribute to the late master and at the same time a way in which his dream of providing opportunity to artists to showcase their authentic creativity is achieved.
“Keshava Dance Festival” is a brain-child of Guru B.K. Shyam Prakash (Bharatanatyam exponent & son of Guru H.R.Keshava Murthy) Founder “Keshava college of music and dance”.
In association with Keshava Nritya Shala – one of Karnataka’s oldest dance schools running since last 63 yrs and “Samskruti Bhavan” – Keshava Dance festival provides platform for different dance forms & artists to come and treat the city dance lovers and showcase their artistic talent.
Applications this year are invited from artists of various Indian classical dance forms from India and abroad.
Festival dates: July 3rd week 2011
Host: Keshava Nritya Shala, Samskruti Bhavan & Keshava college of Music and dance - Bangalore
Agenda: Festival stage performances – evenings, seminar – late afternoons & site-seeing (local) for invited guests – morning
Other activities: artists’ interaction & cultural exchange – students’ knowledge sessions – artists demo & showcase slots

Application material is non-refundable.
Selected and non-selected artists will be informed by email on 6th June.
All artists will be provided with local hospitality including: Lodging, boarding & local transport for the festival days.
All artists will be provided full technical support for the performance such as lights, sounds, stage etc.
Artists will be presented with a participation certificate as well as mementos.
Artists can apply for a solo, duet or group category.
Artists with proper experience in the field need apply.
